Vision: A Christmas Eve Surprise

Christmas has always been one of the biggest celebrations in my home, filled with joy, laughter, and family gathered close. But on Christmas Eve of 2019, I felt a small ache in my heart. My son and his wife couldn’t come to our party—it was her family’s turn that year, something we had all agreed on. I completely understood, but deep down I missed them so much. It seemed unthinkable that they would walk through the door that night.

As I sat in the living room surrounded by the rest of my family, I suddenly saw a vision in my mind: my son walking in and calling out, “Surprise!”

To my amazement, just twenty minutes later, the very thing I had seen happened. My son and daughter-in-law stepped through the door with big smiles and hugs—exactly as I had envisioned it!

That moment was a gentle reminder of God’s tender love. He cares about even the small desires of our hearts, the things that may not carry great spiritual weight but mean so much to us personally. Sometimes, His sweetest whispers come wrapped in simple surprises—just to remind us that our lives, and the things we treasure, matter deeply to Him.
