September 2011

In the fall of 2011, a beautiful young woman walked into my home. I had never seen her before, knew nothing about her, only that she was attending a youth meeting my son and his friend were hosting. Yet the very moment I saw her, I KNEW in my spirit—my youngest son would one day marry her.

I immediately shared this Word with my youngest daughter so I would have a witness when the time came, but I said nothing to my son. This was not a Word to direct him, but to confirm what God would orchestrate in His timing. Their love needed to unfold naturally, not by my prompting.

And sure enough, in 2017 they were married. Today, they still share one of the happiest marriages I’ve ever seen!

Here’s the lesson: A Word of Knowledge from God is meant to guide you personally as you make decisions. A Word of Knowledge from someone else should either confirm what God has already spoken to you or be established by two or more witnesses. Be wise and discerning—do not quickly embrace a Word of correction from someone who does not carry spiritual authority to speak into your life.
