Saved by an Angel: Testimony Three

This is the third of three testimonies from my childhood and teen years when my life was miraculously saved by an angel.

In the early 1980s, I was driving with a friend from Connecticut to California. We took turns behind the wheel of my little red Chevy. Late one night, during the final stretch of the drive, I nodded off. (I am thankful to say I never again fell asleep while driving!)

In that moment, I heard a strong male voice in my mind say, “Wake up.” I jolted awake and instantly realized I was headed straight toward a solid wall. With only a split second to react, I jerked the steering wheel and avoided a fatal crash. By God’s grace, I got the car back on the road, and we arrived safely at our destination.

For the third time, my life was spared by miraculous intervention—even though I was a dysfunctional teenager. I loved Jesus, but I was spiritually and emotionally lost from a lifetime of abuse. Some teach that God only intervenes when we ask Him to, but that has not been my experience. God did not shield me from every trauma, but He did step in to preserve my life from death.
